How to use for end users

The Seemplicity Notifications Assistant is a notifications only application. Once integrated, all notifications sent from Seemplicity display in the Posts tab of the application. For every received notification with a related attachment, the user can download it.

NOTE

After adding the Seemplicity Notifications Assistant application to Teams, it is recommended to refresh your Seemplicity Platform browser window or perform a fresh login.

Prerequisites

You will need to acquire the Domain and Tenant ID from your Microsoft Teams workspace. For the most updated procedure, see Find IDs and domain names in the official Microsoft documentation.

  • To obtain your Domain, within Microsoft Teams, select your account icon > your name. In the Overview tab - Contact information section, your domain displays in the Email and Chat data. It's listed after the domain parameter (@seemplicity.onmicrosoft.com).
  • To obtain your Tenant ID, within Microsoft Teams, select Your teams > [Your team] > More options icon (...) > Get link to team. The tenant id displays in the link. You must scroll to the end to view it.

To send Seemplicity findings via Microsoft Teams:

  4. In the Domain field, enter the Domain of your Microsoft Teams workspace. For example, seemplicity.onmicrosoft.com.
  5. In the Tenant ID field, enter the ID from your Microsoft Teams workspace.
  6. When finished, select Confirm.

After confirming during the first time setup, you must install the Seemplicity app in Microsoft Teams AppSource.

  1. You are directed to Microsoft Teams with the Seemplicity Teams App window visible.
  2. From its dropdown, select Add.

Once the integration is configured, you can view a list of the channels to which you can send messages when you select Microsoft Teams as the preferred output in your Seemplicity Remediation queue.
